Lori Pinkowski,

Lori Pinkowski and her team have a passion for exceeding your expectations and ensuring you are on track to meet your financial goals. She has a strong commitment to her clients’ well-being and believes in the simple philosophy of “say what you do and do what you say”. With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Lori became a Portfolio Manager in 2009 and she has always focused on helping people retire with confidence while encouraging them to enjoy a happy and fulfilling retirement. Having this depth of experience gives her the ability to make efficient decisions for her clients’ portfolios on a daily basis, so they don’t have to worry about their investments. She is dedicated to finding smart solutions for clients in all aspects of their financial situation and feels strongly that it is important to keep clients informed and up to date on their progress.

Lori is proud that her team is one of the leaders in the financial industry and that they are making a difference in the lives of their clients. She has been recognized for numerous achievements within her firm and this is a direct result of her enthusiasm for servicing clients while always putting their needs first and foremost.

She has one of the top weekly radio shows in Vancouver, Making Cents of the Markets, every Wednesday at 8:35am on CKNW 980AM which began over 10 years ago. It’s focused on providing timely insight on market conditions and giving investors straight up advice they can use. Additionally, Lori and her co-host, Jon McComb, have a podcast called Ready.Set.Retire! where they share their insights into retirement, talk to special guests from various fields and discuss topics to help inform you on how to achieve a successful retirement. Lori has also written for numerous publications including the North Shore News since 2001 and regular contributions to Business in Vancouver along with The Sun, Province, National Post and more. She has also appeared on Global News where her opinion has often been sought, especially when investors are searching for a voice of reason during turbulent times.

Lori enjoys spending time in the Okanagan and Pemberton with her family as well as her two French bulldogs, Pinky and Franky. She has travelled to over 45 countries and speaks German fluently. Her hobbies include working out, skiing and most of all… driving on the track! She obtained her professional racing license in 2012 and feels it has helped her gain even more of an advantage when managing her clients’ portfolios. “When driving on the track you need to be prepared for what’s around every corner – even if you can’t see it coming. It’s imperative that you can make quick yet calculated decisions – while behind the wheel or in the markets.”

Harel Tal,

Investment Associate

Harel works closely with Lori to monitor client portfolios, execute trades, and assist in the preparation of investment plans and reviews. With a pulse on the latest market news, Harel’s attention to detail allows him to provide tailored investment recommendations to clients. He is committed to providing client-based solutions and contributing to the development of the team’s investment strategies.

Harel received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of British Columbia in 2016, with a focus in Economics. Prior to joining the Pinkowski Wealth Management team, Harel began his financial services industry career working in mutual funds; supporting advisors with trading and servicing their everyday client needs. He is a Licensed Registered Representative and is working towards completing his Certified Investment Management (CIM®) certificate.

Harel is a sports enthusiast, he enjoys spending his free time at the gym, as well as travelling and enjoying time with friends and family.

Marko Ferenc

Senior Investment Advisor & Associate Portfolio Manager

Marko is a Senior Investment Advisor and Associate Portfolio Manager with Pinkowski Wealth Management. Marko brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the team with over 24 years in the industry managing money and has previously worked with Lori for almost 10 years. He focuses on monitoring our portfolio holdings and does extensive research into new investment ideas. He has successfully completed the Chartered Financial Analyst level 1 & 2 exams and is options & U.S. licensed.

With a natural contrarian instinct, Marko prefers to discover investment possibilities that have been overlooked and strongly believes in active management. Taking profits when necessary and rotating sectors are at the core of our investment strategy in order to remain prudent when managing the portfolios. He also contributes his quirky yet insightful writing skills to our weekly market commentary.

Prior to beginning his career in the investment industry in 1999 at Canaccord, Marko earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in music composition. Outside of the office, you can find Marko cooking or trying out new local restaurants as he is a major foodie!

Andrea Griffin,

Andrea has been with the team since 2014 and provides excellent service to many of our clients, in addition to being the executive assistant to Lori Pinkowski. She helps organize client events, is responsible for maintaining our media relationships and acts as a liaison for our multiple appearances through radio, TV and print.

Andrea attended Capilano University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration. During her tenure at school, she studied international business and had the opportunity to study abroad in Hertfordshire, England. Before entering the wealth management industry, Andrea worked in tourism for over three years at the Britannia Mine Museum where she gained valuable communication and customer service experience.

Andrea loves to travel and enjoys spending time at the beach as well as hiking around Vancouver.

Marina Zlomislic, 

MA
Investment Associate

Marina joined Pinkowski Wealth Management in 2018 and provides various levels of assistance needed within the team. She is a Licensed Registered Representative and acts as a point of contact for clients and is devoted to ensuring they are all well-supported.

Marina’s background and experience in communication and customer service is extensive. As a Master of Arts graduate from the University of Leeds in England, she specialized in international communication and media management. Prior to working in the wealth management industry, Marina spent over four years developing her skills in customer service and sales with a strong focus on customer relations.

Marina is an exceptionally dedicated dancer and dance teacher with a passion for travel.

Megan Yakabuski,

Investment Associate

Megan provides assistance with the many client services the team offers. She is a Licensed Investment Representative and works closely with Lori and Harel to provide custom investment plans and portfolio reviews. Her appetite for knowledge and self-starter mentality is quickly making her an invaluable team member.

Megan graduated from a Dual Degree program between Sciences Po Paris and the University of British Columbia Sauder School of Business, where she received both a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Commerce. During her schooling, Megan lived in the Champagne region of France for two years and worked part-time for various non-profits, where she gained valuable adaptability and customer service skills.

Megan enjoys cooking new recipes and is an avid runner and skier. She has traveled in over 20 countries and hopes to explore many more!

Jason Pun, 

CFP
Financial Planner

Jason provides planning expertise to our clients and their families to help achieve their financial goals from retirement to estate planning. He works closely with Lori to identify priorities, develop solutions and implement strategies to build and maintain wealth. He is passionate about financial literacy and contributing to the betterment of the financial planning industry.

Prior to joining the team, Jason worked with BMO where he prepared comprehensive financial plans for high-net-worth individuals and their families to devise effective planning strategies. He graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Degree in Economics and also earned his Certified Financial Planner designation.

Jason enjoys playing and watching basketball with friends and hiking around Vancouver.

Hollie-Louise Larkin,

Associate, Administration & Marketing

Hollie-Louise helps to manage the team’s media presence and marketing initiatives. She also assists with client documentation as well as internal and external communication for the team.

Hollie-Louise was born and raised in Ireland before moving to Vancouver in 2019. She attended Technological University Dublin where she graduated with a Bachelor of Economics and Finance. Prior to her move to Canada, she worked as a Bank Official in the largest Irish bank where she gained valuable client care experience and received an award for her commitment to mortgage retention.

She loves to spend her free time enjoying the beautiful beaches in BC.

Anne Jackson, 

BBA, CPA, CMA, QAFP®
Vice President, Wealth & Estate Planning Specialist

With over 20 years of experience, Anne partners closely with the Pinkowski Wealth Management team to provide comprehensive financial planning, wealth protection, tax mitigation, legacy and estate planning for individuals, professionals and business owners.  Anne’s accounting and independent taxation consulting experience has given her knowledge and skills in advanced financial, tax and estate planning strategies for high-net-worth clients. She is committed to fully understanding an individual’s situation in order to create and implement tax-efficient, long-term successful strategies for each client.

Anne specializes in providing income layering and tax planning solutions and holds a CPA designation, bringing her years of taxation and accounting experience to the clients’ total wealth solution. Anne currently holds her QAFP designation, is also Insurance licensed and has a BBA from SFU, with a concentration in Accounting and Finance.

Anne enjoys exploring new cities when she has the chance and has travelled to over 35 countries and has many more to cross off her list. She has visited small towns and big cities all over Asia, Africa, Europe and of course North America.

Cindy David (External Partner),

Senior Estate Planning Advisor

Cindy is the President and Estate Planning Advisor of Cindy David Financial Group Ltd. She works with business owners in BC and retired or retiring clients, where her firm provides tax-effective solutions and expertise, and tailors customized, personal financial planning services to meet the life goals of her clientele. Cindy has worked closely with Pinkowski Wealth Management for over 10 years in providing our clients with exceptional financial and estate planning services.

Cindy is a leading Canadian financial expert and trailblazer in her industry. She’s known for her passion, creative thinking, and determination to influence positive change. She transformed a traditional corporation’s employee-employer relationship into a modern structure that provides better benefits to both; and she actively supports women to achieve their dreams of entrepreneurship. She co-authored Financial First Aid for Canadian Investors: Stop the Bleeding, Start the Healing and Get Your Portfolio on the Road to Recovery, a guide to help Canadian investors regain their footing after the financial meltdown of 2008. Currently, Cindy serves on three boards; current Chair of the Conference for Advanced Life Underwriters (CALU), and as a general director for the National Board for Junior Achievement and the Insurance Council of British Columbia. In these roles, she works to help small business owners in Canada, advocate for women, and support youth to become financially literate. A Type I Diabetic, she actively fundraises for juvenile diabetes research. She also sits on two advisory boards; Advisors Edge and Advantage BC. Cindy has also been recognized as one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women of 2020.

On top of it all, Cindy is also a devoted mother of two teenagers, and an avid UFC fan who loves balancing work with weight lifting at the gym and spending time with friends and family.
