Lori has been managing client portfolios for almost 20 years and she has always focused on helping people retire with confidence while encouraging them to enjoy a happy and fulfilling retirement. She became a Portfolio Manager in 2009, so she can make efficient decisions for her clients’ portfolios on a daily basis, so they don’t have to worry about their investments. She is dedicated to finding smart solutions for clients in all aspects of their financial situation and we feel strongly about keeping you informed and up to date on your progress.

Lori is proud that her team is one of the leaders in the financial industry and that they are making a difference in the lives of their clients. She has been recognized for numerous achievements within her firm and this is a direct result of her enthusiasm for servicing clients while always putting their needs first and foremost.

She has one of the top weekly radio shows in Vancouver, Making Cents of the Markets, every Wednesday at 8:40am on CKNW 980AM which began over 10 years ago. It’s focused on providing timely insight on market conditions and giving investors straight up advice they can use. Lori also writes for numerous publications including her regular column in the North Shore News since 2001 and regular contributions to Business in Vancouver along with The Sun, Province, National Post and more. She has also appeared on Global News where her opinion has often been sought after, especially when investors are searching for a voice of reason during turbulent times.

Lori enjoys spending time in the Okanagan and Whistler with her husband Nick, her young son Luca as well as her two French bulldogs, Pinky and Franky. She has travelled to over 45 countries and speaks German fluently. Her hobbies include working out, skiing and most of all driving on the track. She obtained her professional racing license in 2012 and feels it has helped her gain even more of an advantage when managing her clients’ portfolios. “When driving on the track you need to be prepared for what’s around every corner – even if you can’t see it coming. It’s imperative that you can make quick yet calculated decisions – while behind the wheel or in the markets.”

John McLean,

John is passionate about helping people and as one of the team’s senior financial advisors, he works with clients to develop and review their tailored financial plans and investment strategies, ensuring they are on track to achieve their financial goals. As part of the management team along with Lori, he also helps manage the operations of the office.

Starting in the investment industry as a trader in 1998 exposed John to the highs and lows of the tech bubble early in his career. This background gives him a strong technical foundation and his 21 years of broad experience in banking and investments allows him to provide our clients with exceptional service and expert advice. He attended BCIT and Simon Fraser University where he studied financial planning and business administration. Recognizing the importance of continuing education, John regularly expands on his studies in portfolio management and financial planning, having already earned his Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) designation and currently on track to finalize his certified financial planner (CFP®) designation. He has also spent multiple terms acting as treasurer and board member for a non-profit organization, overseeing the budgeting and governance of a corporation with multi-million dollar annual revenues and government grants.

Outside the office, John is a proud dad of two teenage daughters and loves to travel. Enjoying the outdoors and staying active, he likes spending time on a mountain, the soccer pitch, a golf course or on his bike. He’s especially proud to coach his nephew’s soccer team who happen to be the top team in the league for the second year in a row.

Brianne Gardner, 

Investment Advisor
Lori Pinkowski

Brianne is one of the team's Investment Advisors and provides first-class service to our clients using her years of experience working closely with families who have complex financial needs and unique circumstances. In addition to providing portfolio reviews and market updates, she also oversees client servicing including our customized tax reporting.

She began her career in wealth management at Richardson GMP in 2014 after receiving her MBA specialized in Finance from Bond University in Australia. Prior to joining the finance industry, Brianne  worked alongside Fortune 100 companies at an agency, utilizing her strong background in sales and marketing before pursuing her passion in wealth management. She is currently working towards her Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation to enhance her ability to provide clients with the best financial advice possible. Like Lori, Brianne acts as a mentor to young women in business  and has always been an active member of her community and a philanthropist through her membership in professional associations and charitable organizations such as Women in Capital Markets and ReThink Breast Cancer.

Brianne is originally from Ontario and moved to the west coast in 2016. In her free time she enjoys travelling and leading an active lifestyle through volleyball, skiing and hiking.

Martin Danielak, 

Portfolio Analyst

Martin is the team’s Portfolio Analyst as he works to analyze all portfolio investments for our clients. He is passionate about studying and understanding markets to offer best-in-class investments and educate clients on effectively managing risk. He works closely with Lori to make decisions on the portfolio and is responsible for market-related communication to clients.

He began his career in wealth management at Richardson GMP in 2012 after receiving his Honors Business Administration degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario. He has also attained his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation as he has a fiduciary duty to act with care, honesty and good faith, and to always put clients’ interests first. Martin truly understands that our clients’ trust and loyalty are of the highest importance and acts in a manner to enhance investor confidence.

Martin enjoys many outdoor activities such as cycling, hiking, and snowboarding as he always takes advantage of good weather in Vancouver.

Andrea Griffin, 

Marketing & Administrative Assistant

Andrea provides excellent service to many of our clients, in addition to being the executive assistant to Lori Pinkowski, the lead portfolio manager on the team. She helps organize client events and is responsible for maintaining our media relationships and acts as a liaison for our multiple appearances through radio, TV and print.

Andrea attended Capilano University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration. During her tenure at school, she studied international business and had the opportunity to study abroad in Hertfordshire, England. Before entering the wealth management industry, Andrea worked in tourism for over three years at the Britannia Mine Museum where she gained valuable communication and customer service experience. She has now been with the team for over four years.

Andrea loves to travel and enjoys spending time at the beach as well as hiking around Vancouver.

Marina Zlomislic, 

Administrative Assistant

Marina is an assistant to the Financial Advisors of Pinkowski Wealth Management in addition to providing any assistance needed within the team. She acts as a point of contact for clients and is devoted to making sure they are all well-supported. Marina also helps organize client events and manages the team’s online media presence.

Marina’s background and experience in communication and customer service is extensive. As a Master of Arts graduate from the University of Leeds in England, she specialized in international communication and media management. Prior to working in the wealth management industry, Marina spent over four years developing her skills in customer service and sales with a strong focus on customer relations.

Marina is an exceptionally dedicated dancer and dance teacher with a passion for travel.
